LMuSTCL Set Piece B Study Mahler’s Symphonicism and German Modernicism in Late Romantic Period

The course is designed for those who are preparing the LMusTCL examination syllabus 2015-16. The content of the study will include the exploration of both historical and analytical surveys of Mahler Symphonies in relation to the development of German symphonicism from the 18th century to the 19th century. In addition to Mahler and his styles and ideas on the development of German symphonic tradition and lied, other important composers of symphonic writiers in the both 19th and 20th century, as well as their works will also be discussed.
